Quail are Calling

May 2020

The quail are calling, and we've got our fingers crossed for a great breeding season this year. The Texas Quail Index is starting with Spring Call Counts, and now you can participate (or just learn what it's all about) by taking our online vignette. We also highlight an upcoming webinar for landowners with small-acreage properties and wildlife management goals.

What's new with RQDI?

The Texas Quail Index online course is now LIVE! This series of lessons will teach you how to monitor quail on your own property, from Spring Call Counts to Roadside Counts, and everything in between. Check it out or get more info in this interview.
...And speaking of quail monitoring, it's that time of year when the bobs start to call. TQI cooperators, wildlife biologists, and land managers are working on Spring Call Counts. We're hoping this year will be a marked improvement over last year.
