The Fall Sourcebook is Here

Directly from the field, the Fall 2024 NRI Sourcebook is here — each year, we publish a digital collection of the recently published peer-reviewed scientific publications, research reports, and resources developed to support the improvement of conservation, natural resource management, and private land stewardship. This collection is for you, your partners and community to use and share where we can collaborate to create resiliency.

This season we’re releasing a diverse body of work with findings on vertebrate speciation, wild furbearer management, scientific perspectives on ecological and socio-political factors involved in wildlife management, ideas on the conservation of aquatic species, studies to understand how mining affects habitat use and selection by American pronghorn, the spatial ecology of the Texas alligator lizard, work done to develop efficient acoustic classifiers for high-priority avian species, and the use of technology to improve geographic distribution models.

We are also releasing scientific reports and landowner resources that help quantify the holistic benefits of native vegetation restoration and statewide land conservation issues. Each item featured in the Sourcebook can be accessed on the NRI website under Research.
