Species Status Assessments (SSA) are the science backbone which determines everything from listing, delisting and downlisting decisions for species under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Mike’s presentation will cover the basics of the ESA listing process, how it has changed under the advent of the SSA, why it matters for industry and permitting broadly and provide resources to track and monitor the regulatory environment.
