
Mike Proctor
Research Data Scientist
Mike Proctor joined the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute in July 2025 as a research data scientist with over 25 years of experience in plant community ecology, rangeland and wildlife ecology, data management, and technology integration. He previously served as senior research associate for a private agricultural research organization, where he led field research, managed complex datasets, and applied advanced tools such as UAV imagery, GIS, and bioacoustics for ecological monitoring.
Mike holds an M.S. in Biology from Fort Hays State University and a B.S. in Wildlife Conservation from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
