Emeleigh Luckenbaugh joined Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute in December 2023 as a research associate working on Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. Emeleigh is part of the coastal dunes project which primarily focuses on shorebird, sea turtle, and beach mice monitoring. She recently received her masters degree in Biology from Shippensburg University and completed her thesis on the Demography of the Eastern Milksnake in south central Pennsylvania. Herpetology, specifically snakes, are her passion but she also loves conservation, demographics, and working with a variety of species!

In her free time Emeleigh enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, wildlife photography, reading and of course herping.
