Corey Fielder

As a Research Associate for the Institute, Corey works with the herpetology team to conduct ecology and conservation-orientated research projects on federal, state, and private lands.

Previously, Corey served in the United States Marine Corps for five years before attending college. He graduated from Texas A&M in 2020 with a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences and subsequently received his master’s in 2022 studying the spatial characteristics and habitat associations of Texas alligator lizards (Gerrhonotus infernalis) in Central Texas.

Outside of work, Corey enjoys all aspects of the outdoors such as hunting, herping, and camping with his wife and two dogs.
