Casey Kenny

Casey joined NRI in June of 2024 as a research associate assisting with the translocation of gopher tortoises and the recovery of the eastern indigo snake on Eglin AFB. Prior to Texas A&M, she worked as a biologist for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission conducting marine dockside fishing surveys.

Currently, she is receiving her M.S. in biology from the University of West Florida where she is conducting research on the growth rates of the sea urchin Lytechinus variegatus. She received her B.S. with emphases in Wildlife and Conservation Biology and Marine Biology from Southeast Missouri State University in 2020. 

In her free time, she enjoys reading, going on hikes with her two dogs, and playing trivia.
