Research Associate

Ashley Lee serves as a Research Associate for the Natural Resources Institute. This position provides labor, support, and technical expertise to monitor and manage coastal dune group species on Eglin AFB.

Ashley moved to Florida in 2022 to work for Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute as a Shorebird Monitoring Technician for two breeding seasons and for Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission as the Regional Beach Mouse Biologist for one winter season. Before coming to Florida Ashley assisted in a graduate project studying gill lice at Western Colorado University where she also received a bachelor’s degree in biology with an emphasis in Wildlife and Conservation.

In her off time, Ashley enjoys taking her dog outside to go paddleboarding, hiking and camping.
