As a Project Manager for the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute under the Military Lands Sustainability and Policy Group’s Strategic Conservation and Policy Program, Stefanie's role supports developing and deploying innovative collaborative approaches in relation to the Endangered Species Act (ESA) for the Department of Defense and the Department of the Interior’s Recovery and Sustainment Partnership (RASP). These novel solutions provide increased flexibility for military mission activities while achieving greater conservation outcomes for listed and at-risk species.

Stefanie received a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida. Before joining NRI, she worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service implementing the ESA, particularly section 4 (listing and recovery) and section 7 (interagency cooperation). In her 25-year career with the Service, she worked in Ecological Services field offices in four states (Florida, California, Arizona, and Idaho), the Southeast Regional Office, and at the National Conservation Training Center.

Stefanie currently lives near Boise, ID and enjoys spending time with her husband, cat, two dogs, and two horses.
