Emma started as a Project Coordinator I for the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute in the fall of 2024 and supports projects that conduct natural resources conservation and management on federally and privately managed lands. She assists on various projects, including writing Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan, threatened and endangered species monitoring, invasive species management, and carbon sequestration across DoD installations and with private landowners.

She received her Bachelor’s in Natural Resources Management in 2019 and her Master’s in Wildlife, Aquatic, and Wildlands Science and Management in 2024, both from Texas Tech University. During her Master’s program, she studied the use of culverts as diurnal roosts by Tricolored in East Texas. Previously, she worked on projects studying bats in the Trans-Pecos, amphibians in the Sonoran Desert, Mexican Spotted Owl nesting habitat in Lincoln National Forest, and tropical plants in El Yunque National Forest.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, swimming, and gardening.
