Allison Pullin

​Allison Pullin is a Program Specialist for the Ecosystem Resiliency Team at the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute. She provides technical support for the delivery of endangered, threatened, and at-risk species documents, supporting the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. As a program specialist, she prepares Species Status Assessments and related Endangered Species Act documents. Additionally, she is assisting New Mexico Department of Game and Fish in their assessment of climate change vulnerability for the state’s at-risk and listed species.​

Allison received her Bachelor of Science in 2020 from Texas A&M University in Wildlife & Fisheries Science, with a concentration in Vertebrate Zoology (Pre-Vet Med). Allison then received her Master of Science in 2022 from Texas A&M University in Wildlife & Fisheries Science, with a concentration on Natural Resource Management (Policy). Her graduate work included a Species Status Assessment for the bog spicebush, working along side NRI and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Allison was also a teaching assistant during her master’s and received the Outstanding Teaching Assistant of the Year award in 2022 for the Rangeland, Wildlife, and Fisheries Department. Additionally, she served as the Vice President for the Rangeland, Wildlife, and Fisheries Department Graduate Student Organization and won the Outstanding Officer of the Year award in 2022.

Allison has an extensive background in a wide variety of occupations including animal husbandry and care, restaurant management and training, and teaching and mentorship. She is a certified Graduate Mentoring Academy Fellow through the Texas A&M University Graduate and Professional School and is always looking to mentor young professionals in the Wildlife field.

Allison loves research related to wild cats, especially endangered ones such as Ocelots, Scottish wildcats, Iberian Lynx, and Iriomote cats. In Allison's free time, she enjoys the outdoors, fishing, hiking, biking, gardening, and traveling across the country in her Sprinter van with her partner, dog, and two cats. She is also an extensive collector of vintage Pokémon cards, video games, and consoles, and has a passion for classic JDM cars.
