Tyler Hutchinson

Research Associate

Tyler joined NRI in 2024 as a Policy Intern, where she contributed to the development and standardization of Integrated Natural Resources Management Plans (INRMPs) and helped create an Institute-wide training template to support future INRMP development. As a Research Associate, Tyler supports military land sustainability by conducting research on land management and floral and faunal interactions across New Mexico. Her work integrates field ecology with data analysis to inform science-based conservation and natural resource management. Tyler's professional interests include wildlife conservation, ecological research, military land stewardship, and natural resource policy.

Tyler earned a B.S. in Wildlife Management from Texas A&M University.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, working out, and spending time outdoors. She is always on the lookout for new coffee shops and thrift stores.
