Jesse Alonzo manages environmental and atmospheric sciences projects as a research specialist for the Texas A&M Natural Resource Institute. He works primarily on research and development projects related to air quality management and compliance.

Jesse is involved in several studies of air emissions sources at oil and gas production sites in Texas and U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) installations. These studies are aimed at identifying the type and amount of pollutants, developing best available control technologies for emissions control and improvement of the measurement/quantification of emissions from these operations.

Before joining NRI, Jesse worked for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality as an air quality permit engineer and an environmental consultant to the DoD and industry clients for environmental consulting firms. He also worked for the Texas A&M Center for Applied Technology.

Jesse received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering in 1992 from the University of Texas at Austin. Previously, he served in the U.S. Air Force as an air traffic controller.

In his spare time, Jesse enjoys drawing and painting.
