Jeremy Baumgardt is an associate research scientist with the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute. He is the lead researcher working on the East Foundation monitoring program. The overall scope of this work is to design alternative plans for initiating and implementing monitoring of long-term trends in the distribution and abundance of the flora and fauna across the East Foundation properties.
Jeremy graduated with his doctorate in 2013 from the University of Idaho where he evaluated methods for studying greater sage-grouse populations. He earned a master’s degree in biology from Kansas State University where he conducted a study to determine how various trapping methods and baits affected small-mammal population estimates. He also has a bachelor’s degree in wildlife sciences from the University of Washington where his studies included the use of riparian forests by bats.
