As a research associate for the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute, Jim conducts field work to support outdoor recreation, threatened and endangered species conservation, wetlands protection, invasive species control, and fish and wildlife management at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis, Texas.

Prior to relocating to Texas, Jim worked for NRI as a natural resources program aide at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia.

Jim spent more than 25 years on active duty in the U. S. Marine Corps and retired as a Sergeant Major.

In 2018, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in wildlife management from the State University of New York at Cobleskill. Jim will begin studying for a masters degree in wildlife and fisheries science from Texas A&M University in the fall of 2019.

Jim enjoys traveling, trekking, scuba diving and wildlife.
