Clara Whiting

Research Associate

Clara began work as a Research Associate for the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute on Joint Base San Antonio - Camp Bullis in 2021. On base, her work consists of ecological monitoring and surveying work, most notably of the Golden-cheeked Warbler and other threatened and endangered species that impact military training and preparedness.

Prior to her work for NRI, Clara worked in California conducting northern spotted owl surveys for the Forest Service and in north Texas as a field technician for the National Ecological Observatory Network. She graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 2013.

Outside of work, Clara enjoys hiking, camping, reading, and hanging out with her son.
