As an Extension assistant with the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute, Bethany Friesenhahn works as tech support at Camp Bullis in San Antonio, assisting the Joint Base San Antonio natural resource team with multiple projects, including vegetation, caves and karsts, fire ants, birds surveys, endangered species, deer surveys and the hunting program. Bethany graduated from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in December 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in wildlife management and a minor in biology.

Before joining the institute, she was employed by a private ranch, working with deer breeding and hunting programs and interned with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
