Jaime Simon is a program director for the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute’s Military Land Sustainability Program, supporting the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Installations and Environment‘s Readiness and Environmental Protection Integration (REPI) Program. Working from Washington D.C., Jaime helps to coordinate the institute’s efforts exploring the convergence of conservation, working lands and national defense to sustain key landscapes the U.S. Department of Defense uses to conduct realistic training and weapons system testing that is vital to military readiness.

Jaime supports external affairs and policy programs in support of military training and environmental interests. She develops, advocates and manages ongoing relationships with conservation organizations, state-focused nongovernmental organizations and federal and state government leaders.

She received her bachelor’s in communication studies and English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master of Science in organization development and knowledge management from George Mason University School of Public Policy.
