As program coordinator for the Long Acres Ranch Conservation Wise: Connecting Youth Program, Jim Kidda works with the county extension office, 4H, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of America and local school districts to develop educational programs providing earth science and conservation knowledge primarily to kindergarten through twelfth grade students.

Before joining the Texas A&M Institute of Natural Resources in March 2017, Kidda was employed by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service through Texas A&M University’s Department of Recreational, Parks and Tourism Service and later in the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

Kidda received a bachelor’s degree in English liberal arts from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from Louisiana Tech University.
