Jared Beaver is a distance education coordinator for Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute where he assists with research projects related to population ecology and habitat restoration efforts as they pertain to mammal and game species. Jared is also assisting with NRI’s distance education efforts. He serves in an administrative and coordination capacity for both the Private Lands Stewardship (PLS) and Military Lands Sustainability certificates and helps teach several of the courses related to the PLS certificate.

He received his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Wake Forest University in 2008 and his master’s degree in wildlife and fisheries sciences from the University of Tennessee in 2011. He is currently pursuing his doctorate degree in wildlife and fisheries sciences at Texas A&M, studying white-tailed deer population ecology and habitat management at Joint Base San Antonio – Camp Bullis.
