Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Washington County Wildlife Society will host an informative workshop on Friday, December 10th from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

The workshop will be held at the Blinn College Rankin Ag Complex at 1409 Old Mill Creek Roadfaith in Brenham.

This workshop will help landowners that manage their property for wildlife to maintain their wildlife valuation and to learn more about different management techniques that can be incorporated into your management plan.

Guest speakers and topics include:

  • Chief Appraiser of the Washington County Appraisal District, Dyann White; 
  • Introduction to Wildlife Valuation, Stephanie Damron, Natural Resource Specialist, TPWD;
  • Stream function and Riparian BMPs, Ryan McGillicuddy, Conservation Biologist, Inland Fisheries, TPWD;
  • Native and Agricultural Food Plots for Wildlife, Clint Faas, Natural Resource Specialist, TPWD;
  • Managing Habitat for Non-game Birds, Trey Barron, Wildlife Diversity Biologist, TPWD;
  • Grassland Restoration Incentive Program: Moving the Needle for Native Grassland Conservation, Derek Wiley, OPJV Conservation Delivery Specialist, TPWD/Oaks and Prairies Joint Venture;
  • Grazing the Prairie (Virtual), Dr. Megan K. Clayton, Associate Professor and Extension Range Specialist, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Department of Rangeland, Wildlife, and Fisheries Management

Seating is limited. To register complete the attached agenda/registration form. There will be a registration fee of $12.00 per person which will include a catered lunch.
