On-Site Septic System Education Workshop

The Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute and the Coryell County On-Site Sewage Facility Technical Assistance and Financial Incentive Program is offering a free homeowner education event discussing homeowner maintenance of septic systems. The program is from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. February 15th at the Gatesville Civic Center on Veteran’s Memorial Drive.

This course provides a basic understanding of the operational and maintenance activities of a septic system, and explains how activities within the home impact septic systems. Presentations will cover the treatment processes, health and safety considerations, how to inspect, care for and feed the system, and general maintenance procedures.

This program is made possible by funding through the Clean Water Act Section 319(h) dollars provided through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB).
