Buck MacLaughlin

Buck serves as Program Manager supporting the Military Land Sustainability program and the Regional Planning and Partnerships team. His work focuses on engaging military installations and their partners in support of the Department of War's Readiness and Environmental Protection Integration (REPI) Program and Sentinel Landscape Partnership and co-leading the SERPPAS Sentinel Landscape Work Group. His experience includes working with the REPI Program and Sentinel Landscape Partnership, including building one of the Air Force’s most successful REPI programs, and leading the range to a Sentinel Landscape designation in 2016.

He earned a B.S. from the United States Air Force Academy, a M.S. in Aerospace Science and Technology from Embry Riddle University, and a M.S. in Military Operational Art/Science from Air University, Air Command and Staff College.

Outside of work, Buck enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and their two dogs. He is passionate about supporting local and regional conservation efforts.

    For two decades, the Southeast Regional Partnership for Planning and Sustainability (SERPPAS) has brought together leaders from the military, state agencies and federal natural resources, wildlife, ocean and working lands organizations to address a shared set of challenges across the Southeast. At its core, SERPPAS is built on a simple but consequential idea: military readiness, conservation, working lands and resilient communities are not separate priorities. In many places, they depend on one another.
