Hill Country landowners in the Camp Bullis region are invited to attend an upcoming webinar to learn about voluntary conservation resources available through the Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP).

The online landowner webinar will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13. The webinar will introduce landowners to the Camp Bullis RCPP, explain how the program works and share how eligible landowners may be able to access technical and financial assistance for conservation activities on their property.

The Camp Bullis RCPP supports private landowners within the Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape, a regional conservation effort surrounding Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis. Through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service’s Regional Conservation Partnership Program, the effort provides resources to support land stewardship practices that benefit working lands, natural resources and the broader region.

The initiative focuses on conservation priorities including water quality and conservation, plant health, restoration of native plant communities, soil quality and habitat improvement for wildlife, native pollinators and grazing species. Previous program materials have identified practices such as vegetative buffers around waterways, prescribed grazing, selective brush management and native plant restoration as examples of conservation approaches that may support property-specific goals.

The webinar is designed for landowners, agricultural producers, wildlife managers and others who own or manage land in portions of Bexar, Bandera, Blanco, Comal, Kendall and Medina counties. Because the Camp Bullis RCPP project area follows a specific boundary, landowners are encouraged to contact the RCPP team if they are unsure whether their property is eligible.

During the webinar, participants will learn more about available land stewardship resources, the RCPP process and how to take the next step if they are interested in exploring opportunities for their property.

Participation in the Camp Bullis RCPP is voluntary. Attending the webinar or requesting more information does not obligate landowners to participate in the program.
